Title: Massive Red Sea Bridge to Link Egypt and Saudi Arabia
Post by: Suyuti1 on Jun 09, 2025, 09:47 AM
Egypt plans to build a massive bridge to Saudi Arabia. The project will stretch 32 kilometers across the Red Sea. It's expected to cost around $4 billion. This bridge, called the Moses Bridge, aims to improve trade and tourism between the two nations.

The connection will link Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt with Ras Hamid in Saudi Arabia. Both locations are key coastal points. Officials say the planning phase is now complete. However, actual construction has not yet started.

If completed, the bridge will support Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. This is a national plan to grow the country's economy and tourism. Egypt also hopes the project will boost its own regional influence and development.

Despite the excitement, experts are raising concerns. One major issue is the potential harm to coral reefs and marine life. The Red Sea is known for its fragile ecosystem.

Technical challenges also exist due to the depth of the sea. Building a long-lasting structure in such a location will be difficult and expensive. Engineers will need to use advanced techniques and strong materials.

In addition, political tensions and past delays cast some doubt. Still, if completed, the Moses Bridge could become one of the region's most important infrastructure projects.
