Post by: Abdulrahmon Mubarak on Jun 10, 2025, 09:26 PM
The passing of Maulana Mohammad Iqbal, a beloved Muslim chaplain, has deeply saddened his colleagues, the community he served, and countless families. For over 25 years, Maulana Iqbal dedicated his life to offering spiritual care with unwavering compassion, grace, and humility to patients, families, and staff.

He was known for always being there for people during their most significant and vulnerable moments, often responding to calls outside of regular hours without expecting payment. His selfless service, alongside his wife, was driven by a sincere desire to support Muslim patients.

Canon Andrew Horsfall, Head of Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care Services, expressed profound shock and sadness, highlighting Maulana Iqbal's gentle and unwavering care. His colleague and co-imam, Maulana Fazlur Rehman Hassan, currently on Hajj pilgrimage in Makkah, learned of the news with deep personal grief. He emphasized Maulana Iqbal's quiet strength, dignified demeanor, and immense contributions to the chaplaincy team and the many families he supported.

Maulana Iqbal's legacy of selfless service, compassion, and quiet strength will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. His colleagues and the community offer heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.
