Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim Al-Thani and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer held a phone conversation on Wednesday to discuss the worsening crisis in Gaza. Both leaders strongly called for an immediate ceasefire to stop the ongoing violence and protect innocent civilians in the conflict zone.
They stressed the urgent need for quick and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the people in the besieged Gaza Strip. Their discussion highlighted the suffering faced by families and communities due to the blockade and ongoing attacks.
The two leaders expressed deep concern over the escalating situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. They agreed that international efforts must focus on ending the violence and providing lasting relief to those affected by the crisis.
Beyond the Gaza conflict, Sheikh Tamim and Prime Minister Starmer discussed strengthening Qatar–UK relations. They explored ways to expand cooperation across trade, investment, education, and other key sectors.
