The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria's chairman, Prof. Abdullahi, emphasized the crucial need for stakeholder collaboration. He urged the development of robust and sustainable financial models for Hajj operations. This, he stated, is essential to ensure affordability, efficiency, and maintain the integrity of the Hajj sector for all participants.
Speaking at the 2nd National Hajj Summit in Abuja on Wednesday, Prof. Saleh highlighted the need for sustainable finance. The event saw the presence of VP Shettima's representative, FCT Minister Wike, Sultan of Sokoto, and Senator Bello, among other dignitaries.
Prof. Saleh stressed that rising costs necessitate sustainable financial models for affordable and efficient Hajj. He announced NAHCON's progress, onboarding three more banks to the Hajj Savings Scheme, marking a significant step towards financial resilience.
