Iran has warned that if nuclear talks with the U.S. fail and Washington launches an attack, it will strike back strongly. Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh said all U.S. bases in the region are within Iran's reach. He urged American forces to leave the area in case of any conflict.
Speaking at a press event, Nasirzadeh said Iran's defense forces are fully ready. He revealed that Iran has recently tested a powerful missile with a two-ton warhead. He added that if war happens, the U.S. will suffer greater losses than Iran.
The warning comes as nuclear talks between Iran and the U.S. face rising tensions. American generals confirmed they have given military options to the president. U.S. leaders, including Donald Trump, have expressed doubt about reaching a peaceful deal.
Trump criticized Iran's demands, saying they are asking for things that are not possible. He described the situation as serious and disappointing. He warned that the other option, if talks fail, would be dangerous.
Iran has rejected recent U.S. proposals on uranium enrichment. However, Iranian officials said they will present a counteroffer soon. More negotiations are expected in the coming days.
Israel has also made plans for a possible strike on Iran's nuclear sites. Trump, in a call with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, said an Israeli attack would not help right now. Still, Trump hinted Israel might be involved if diplomacy fails.
Iran's Intelligence Ministry announced it has obtained secret documents on Israel's nuclear program. A top Iranian military commander said this information would give Iran an edge if attacked by Israel.
