The Iranian government has strongly criticized President Donald Trump for his "offensive and inappropriate remarks" directed at the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and the Iranian nation.
In a press statement issued by the Iranian Foreign Minister, Tehran accused Trump of violating fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter through his recent interactions concerning the Middle Eastern country.
Last Thursday, Ayatollah Khamenei declared that Iran had delivered "a slap to America's face." This statement followed Iran's strike on a U.S. airbase in Qatar, a retaliation for Washington's attacks on three Iranian nuclear sites the previous weekend.
Khamenei, in his first public appearance since the U.S. strikes, also posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) account. He emphasized Iran's capability to access key U.S. centers in the region and act when necessary.
He further warned that such actions could be repeated, and any future aggression would result in a heavy price for the enemy. Trump, in turn, responded to Khamenei's comments by threatening Iran with more attacks.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry's statement condemned Trump's "insulting and bullying rhetoric," asserting that such behavior only deepens global indignation towards U.S. policies and undermines its claims for dialogue.
