Title: Gaza Death Toll Surpasses 58,000 as Conflict Continues Unabated

The conflict in Gaza has now entered its 646th day, with no end in sight to the widespread violence. Despite discussions of a truce, the humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate rapidly, impacting civilians across the territory.

Health officials report that the death toll has reached a devastating milestone. Since the start of the assault on October 7, 2023, more than 58,000 Palestinians have been killed. Additionally, at least 138,520 people have been wounded in the ongoing attacks.

Recent incidents highlight the continued danger for civilians. In Khan Younis, an Israeli drone strike reportedly targeted a displacement tent, killing at least two Palestinians and wounding several others. Separate strikes in Rafah and Gaza City also claimed lives.

The humanitarian impact extends beyond the immediate casualties. Many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue teams. Furthermore, there are disturbing accusations that graves were exhumed and bodies removed in Khan Younis.

Amid the crisis, a significant development occurred: the UN successfully delivered the first shipment of fuel into Gaza in 130 days. This is crucial, but aid agencies stress that ongoing, substantial fuel deliveries are vital to sustain basic services.

As the conflict intensifies, the humanitarian crisis deepens daily. The high number of casualties and the dire conditions emphasize the urgent need for a durable ceasefire and unimpeded access for humanitarian aid.
