Gaza- The head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, Philippe Lazzarini, has strongly condemned Israel's ongoing ban on international journalists entering Gaza. He called the restriction a clear attempt to block the truth from reaching the world.

Since the war began, Israeli authorities have not allowed foreign media into Gaza. Lazzarini said this level of media restriction is rare in modern history and threatens open reporting.

He emphasized that without international journalists on the ground, the real story of Gaza cannot be told. This leads to misinformation, confusion, and deep division across global communities.

Lazzarini warned that the ban helps spread false stories while silencing real voices. He said this harms understanding and hides the suffering of innocent civilians.

He urged Israel to immediately lift the ban and allow trusted global news agencies into Gaza. He also called for more support for Palestinian journalists still reporting in dangerous conditions.

Press freedom groups worldwide have echoed Lazzarini's call, saying the world must not be kept in the dark during such a critical time.
