Title: Eid-el-Kabir 2025: MUSWEN Calls for Unity, Service, Leadership
Post by: Suyuti1 on Jun 08, 2025, 02:41 AM
Nigeria- As Muslims across Nigeria prepare to mark Eid-el-Kabir 2025, the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) has sent warm greetings to all Nigerians, especially the Muslim community. The message came from Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo and Professor Muslih 'Tayo Yahya, the President and CEO of MUSWEN.

They reminded the public that Eid-el-Kabir is more than a celebration—it is a time to reflect on Prophet Ibrahim's (AS) act of faith, sacrifice, and obedience to Allah. It's also a chance for everyone to renew their commitment to compassion, unity, and selfless service.

MUSWEN prayed for Allah's mercy, acceptance of our sacrifices, and stronger unity among Nigerians. The group stressed the importance of kindness and care for one another during these trying times.

However, MUSWEN raised concern over politicians focusing on re-election campaigns instead of addressing urgent national problems. This, they said, worsens Nigeria's challenges such as poverty, insecurity, and broken infrastructure.

The group urged leaders to follow the values of Prophet Ibrahim (AS)—service, humility, and sincerity. They asked office holders to place citizens' welfare above personal gain and lead with honesty and dedication.

In closing, MUSWEN called on all Nigerians to promote peace, support the needy, and contribute to building a just and prosperous nation. Eid Mubarak!
