The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has strongly condemned the restriction of female candidates wearing hijab at the Caleb University CBT Centre in Lagos. This incident occurred during the ongoing 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
This incident has sparked widespread outrage, particularly among Islamic organizations such as the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), the Hijab Rights Advocacy Initiative (HRAI), and the Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Lagos State Area Unit.
Islamic organizations demand JAMB prosecute officials and delist Caleb University CBT centre from hosting future exams immediately.
