An international roundtable in Istanbul has gathered religious leaders, political figures, and civil society representatives to address the ongoing crisis in Gaza and the protection of sacred sites in the Holy Land. The historic Ciragan Palace served as the venue for this global event, reflecting its importance and urgency.

The two-day conference was organized by the European Muslim Forum under the central theme: "Stop genocide, stop occupation, start true Abrahamic cooperation." The event brought together voices of influence to call for peace, justice, and unity among the followers of Abrahamic faiths.

Key partners in the initiative included the International Union for Muslim Scholars (IUMS), the Türkiye Research Foundation, and the al-Quds International Institution. Their contributions added depth to discussions on the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the preservation of holy sites across the region.

Speakers stressed the need to end violence, promote coexistence, and work toward long-term peace solutions. They also emphasized the duty of faith communities to stand against oppression while protecting shared spiritual heritage in Jerusalem and beyond.

On Friday, the gathering will move to Sanliurfa, in southeastern Türkiye, widely believed to be the birthplace of Prophet Abraham. This symbolic location strengthens the message of unity and shared responsibility among Muslims, Christians, and Jews.

The Istanbul conference highlighted that true Abrahamic cooperation can pave the way for dialogue, compassion, and collective action. Participants agreed that global solidarity is vital to stop the suffering in Gaza and to secure peace in the Holy Land.
