Saudi Arabia has planted over 151 million trees and rehabilitated 500,000 hectares of land as part of its ambitious Saudi Green Initiative, aiming for 10 billion trees in total.

This effort supports the Kingdom's National Environment Strategy and Vision 2030 goals, which focus on conservation, climate action, water sustainability, and food security for future generations.

To boost environmental impact, five new specialized centers have been launched, along with the region's largest environmental fund to support green innovation and projects.

Protected natural areas expanded from 4.5% to 18.1%, and national parks rose sharply from 18 to 500. More than 40,000 environmental permits have been issued, and 8,000 endangered species reintroduced.

Saudi Arabia now operates 240 air-quality stations, launched marine oil-spill detection programs, and increased rainfall through cloud seeding by 6.4 million cubic meters.

In agriculture, the sector now contributes SR118 billion to GDP. The country is fully self-sufficient in milk, eggs, and major vegetables, and leads the world in date exports.
