Meanwhile, ceasefire talks in Qatar have stalled. Hamas and Israel remain divided over troop withdrawal maps and guarantees for vital humanitarian aid.

Analysts believe Israel's goal extends to "engineered collapse" and "forcible depopulation." Proposed plans for a "humanitarian city" are viewed by many as a concentration camp, reflecting a long-standing strategy of displacement.
