A 73-year-old Israeli man, Avi Warshaviak, tragically passed away after falling ill at the Corinthia Villa Hotel in Abuja's Garki area on Saturday. He was staying at the hotel with his wife when the incident occurred.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, Warshaviak suddenly developed a health problem around 9:51 a.m. He was immediately transported to Asokoro General Hospital, but doctors sadly confirmed his death shortly after his arrival.

The hotel's Chief Security Officer, Okorie Emmanuel, reported the incident to the Garki Divisional Police Headquarters. Police officers swiftly responded, visiting both the hotel and the hospital to document the event.

Following standard procedure, Warshaviak's body was then moved to the hospital's mortuary, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

Authorities are now focused on reaching the Israeli Embassy in Nigeria. This outreach is crucial to facilitate the necessary consular procedures and inform Warshaviak's family.

This unfortunate event highlights the importance of rapid medical response and international cooperation in handling such sensitive cases abroad.
