Former U.S. President Donald Trump recently revealed that Iran is part of ongoing talks to create a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.

Trump said the negotiations are mainly focused on exchanging hostages for peace in Gaza, where violence has been ongoing.

Speaking at the White House, Trump mentioned the involvement of Iran but didn't share further details, and U.S. officials have not provided more information.

The proposed plan includes a 60-day ceasefire. Israel has agreed to the terms, but Hamas has not accepted them yet.

As part of the deal, 28 Israeli hostages — both alive and deceased — would be released. In return, 1,236 Palestinian prisoners and 180 bodies would be returned.

Apart from this, the U.S. and Iran are also having separate discussions over Iran's nuclear program, aiming to avoid further conflict.
