Title: Saudi Arabia Sets Strict Rules For Umrah Travel Services
Post by: Suyuti on Aug 07, 2025, 06:35 PM
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has now introduced firm rules that every licensed Umrah service provider must follow. These rules aim to protect pilgrims and ensure they get proper care and service throughout their spiritual journey. The new standards apply to all stages of the Umrah experience—from arrival to departure.

Upon arrival, pilgrims must receive warm welcomes at airports, land borders, or seaports. Signs must be visible, and staff should help pilgrims pass through immigration and guide them to safe transport. This is the first step in making the journey stress-free for visitors.

The ministry has made it mandatory for all transport vehicles to be licensed and approved. These vehicles must meet strict safety and comfort standards. Pilgrims are not allowed to use random or unsafe means of transportation during their stay in Saudi Arabia.

Accommodation must also meet approved standards. Only hotels or hostels with valid ministry licenses are allowed. These places must be clean, safe, and close to the Haram for easy access. This ensures pilgrims stay in places that promote peace and comfort.

Service providers must also guide pilgrims about digital permits and the latest rules of Hajj and Umrah. They must help during departure by offering transport and help with check-in at the airport or border.

Health care and emergency help must be available at all times. Medical teams, first aid stations, and quick responses in urgent situations are also part of the mandatory service list.

These rules are strictly checked, and companies failing to meet them may lose their licenses. Pilgrims should always check service providers on the Nusuk Masar platform before booking.
