Hajj 2025 - Saudi Arabia is making big improvements to its holy sites in preparation for the upcoming Hajj season. The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, recently checked on these new projects, which cost over $9 million. The goal is to ensure pilgrims have a comfortable and peaceful experience.

One major focus is Namira Mosque in Arafat. Here, they've added 19 large umbrellas, like those at the Prophet's Mosque, to provide shade. The mosque's courtyard now has special heat-reflecting paint, which can lower temperatures by up to 10 degrees Celsius. Also, 98 misting fans have been installed to keep the area cool.

In Mina, Al-Khaif Mosque and its restrooms have also been improved with 57 misting fans. To keep pilgrims hydrated, 70 cold water units have been set up, able to provide 140,000 liters of water per hour.

Other important upgrades include a new audio, security, and lighting system, all controlled from one spot. For the first time, devices to check air quality (carbon dioxide levels) are in place to ensure fresh air for worshippers. Air conditioning and ventilation systems at both Namira and Al-Khaif mosques have been updated, and Hajjaj Al-Barr Mosque in Mina has also been renovated.

Minister Al-Sheikh praised the government's strong support, saying these efforts allow pilgrims to perform their Hajj rituals in comfort and peace.
