Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has urged the international community to cease selling weapons to Israel and condemned Israel's attacks on the UN's peacekeeping force in Lebanon.
Israeli forces fired at an observation post used by U.N. peacekeepers in southern Lebanon, injuring two, for the third day in a row, as Israel continues its war on Hezbollah.
Spain has deployed 650 peacekeepers in Lebanon, led by a Spanish general. Spanish Defence Minister, Juan Sanchez, condemned Israeli attacks on the UN mission in Lebanon, expressing criticism of the Middle East conflict's escalation.
Sanchez urged the international community to cease exporting weapons to Israel in October 2023 to prevent further escalation in the Middle East.
