The Islamic Center in London recently hosted a pivotal meeting between Muslim World League (MWL) Secretary-General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa and prominent UK Islamic leaders. The discussions centered on fostering wisdom within Muslim communities and calmly addressing extremist provocations.

Dr. Al-Issa particularly stressed the urgent need for a unified religious authority in issuing fatwas and public guidance. He announced that the MWL's affiliated Islamic Fiqh Council will soon convene a forum at the center to deliberate on the jurisprudence pertinent to Muslim communities in the West.

This upcoming forum aims to establish a dynamic reference framework for Islamic jurisprudence. It will also scrutinize existing training programs in the UK, ensuring their alignment with the principles of the Charter of Makkah, and propose their integration into Islamic education.

A key focus of the gathering was protecting Muslim youth from extremist ideologies. Dr. Al-Issa highlighted the crucial roles of family, balanced religious education, qualified teachers, and effective use of platforms like sermons and lectures in this endeavor.

Praising the British Muslim community's awareness and commitment, Dr. Al-Issa lauded them as a positive example of Islamic values within a diverse society. Attendees lauded his approach to combating Islamophobia and welcomed efforts to unify local religious authority.

This initiative by the MWL reinforces its mission of promoting social cohesion and peaceful coexistence, values deeply rooted in Islamic teachings, strengthening trust in its global endeavors.
