Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert recently made a striking claim about the occupied West Bank. He stated that illegal Israeli settlers are killing Palestinians every day.
Olmert shared this serious accusation during an interview with Channel 13 TV. He used the term "Judea and Samaria" when referring to the occupied West Bank.
He specifically called out the far-right group, the "Hilltop Youth," accusing them of committing war crimes against Palestinians.
Olmert strongly dismissed the idea that this extremist group represents a small minority of settlers.
He argued that claims of the group being a minority are "a lie." Olmert asserted that these settlers are, in fact, supported by others.
According to Olmert, the settlers "couldn't be doing this" level of daily violence and harm without that significant support, suggesting the problem is widespread.
