Title: Abbas Calls for Complete Israeli Exit and Palestinian Gaza Control
Post by: Abdulrahmon Mubarak on Jul 14, 2025, 10:03 AM
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has clearly stated his position on the future of Gaza. He argues that a viable, sustainable solution is only possible if Israel fully withdraws from the territory. Abbas insists this is the crucial first step toward stability.

According to Abbas, the Palestinian state must be empowered to take full control of Gaza. This transfer of authority, he emphasized, requires strong backing from Arab nations and the international community to ensure effective governance.

These statements were made during a recent meeting with former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair on Sunday. The two discussed the urgent political and humanitarian situation unfolding in the region.

During the discussion, Abbas stressed the absolute necessity of an immediate ceasefire. He highlighted that stopping the fighting instantly is essential for saving lives and allowing critical relief efforts to proceed safely.

Abbas also reiterated the demand for the swift release of all detained individuals. This includes the hostages currently held in Gaza as well as Palestinian prisoners, which he views as a vital part of any resolution.

Finally, President Abbas called for unrestricted humanitarian access to Gaza. He emphasized that aid must flow into the region without any obstacles to reach the population suffering from severe shortages of food, water, and medical supplies.
