Israel launches air attacks on Yemen's Hodeidah governorate, targeting port areas, according to the Houthi Interior Ministry, in the latest escalation of tensions between the two parties.
The attack follows an Israeli warning to evacuate three Houthi-controlled ports, amid heightened exchanges between Israel and the Houthis, with each side trading blame and attacks.
The Israeli bombing of Hodeidah port was retaliation for a Houthi attack near Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv earlier this month, which drew strong Israeli military response and escalation.
Israeli strikes have also hit parts of Sanaa, the Yemeni capital, and its main international airport, amid ongoing tensions and conflict between Israel and the Houthi rebels in Yemen region.
The Houthis have been firing missiles at Israel in solidarity with Palestinians since the Gaza war began, but a recent ceasefire deal with the US excludes operations against Israel, they claim now.
