Saudi Arabia is strategically leveraging artificial intelligence and advanced technologies to revolutionize its data platforms. This initiative aims to significantly enhance the accuracy and efficiency of statistical operations, aligning with the ambitious goals of Vision 2030. Economy and Planning Minister Faisal Al-Ibrahim emphasized the Kingdom's commitment to building a globally competitive data ecosystem during the Saudi Statistics Forum in Riyadh.

The focus is on creating modern and easily accessible data platforms to empower informed decision-making across various sectors. By strengthening digital transformation and effectively utilizing administrative data, Saudi Arabia seeks to improve statistical operations and ensure data accuracy. Minister Al-Ibrahim highlighted the nation's role as an international hub for showcasing statistical achievements and fostering global collaboration in the field.

Continuous development of administrative data systems and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies are central to this vision. The goal is to enhance the precision and accessibility of information, supporting evidence-based policymaking, especially in the face of global challenges. The Saudi Statistics Forum serves as a platform for exchanging expertise and showcasing innovative approaches in statistical methodologies and development.

President of GASTAT, Fahad Al-Dossari, underscored the pivotal role of statistics in driving development and enabling sustainable growth. Strategic initiatives are underway to achieve full digital transformation in statistical operations, including the promotion of AI, big data analysis, and the adoption of global best practices. GASTAT introduced 39 new statistical products in 2023 to meet the evolving data demands of the economy.

Collaboration between GASTAT and various stakeholders is crucial for the success of Saudi Arabia's data agenda. The importance of national surveys in expanding statistical coverage and providing timely indicators was also highlighted. During the forum, memorandums of understanding were signed with several countries to foster international cooperation and knowledge exchange in the field of statistics, positioning Saudi Arabia as a leader in data management.
