Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has appealed to Nigerians to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, state governors, other leaders, and the nation's security operatives. He emphasized that divine guidance through prayers is essential for improved security and effective governance across the country.

The governor made this call in a statement released by his media aide, Mamman Mohammed, on Friday. This followed a courtesy visit to the Government House by the leadership of the Sheikh Usman Dahiru Bauchi Foundation.

According to Governor Buni, prayers remain a vital tool for leaders to succeed in delivering good governance and improving the welfare of citizens. He noted that while positive prayers support leadership success, negative prayers against leaders often result in weak governance and poor service delivery.

"It is important for us to pray to Almighty Allah to guide the President, governors, and all leaders to succeed. With divine guidance, we can achieve better security and lasting peace in Nigeria," he said.

The governor also urged continuous prayers for security agencies battling insurgency and other threats. He highlighted Yobe State's experience, where collective prayers played a key role in improving security and reducing insurgent activities.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Bauchi, chairman of the Foundation, explained that they were in Yobe for the Maulud anniversary of Sheikh Ahmadu Tijjani. He added that representatives from Morocco, Algeria, and several Nigerian states joined the prayers for peace, unity, and stability across the country.
