The United States is now evacuating American citizens from Israel. This decision comes as the possibility of the U.S. intervening in the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict intensifies, with potential strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities looming.


U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, announced on X that the embassy is arranging evacuation flights and cruise ship departures. Americans wishing to leave must register via the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program.

This move marks a shift in policy. Just hours before Huckabee's announcement, the U.S. Embassy had stated no immediate plans for citizen evacuation, though it acknowledged contingency planning for crises.

The change follows signals from President Donald Trump and the White House about a potential intervention. The U.S. is reportedly considering strikes on Iran's underground nuclear facilities, which Israel lacks the capacity to effectively target alone.

Israel argues its actions are necessary to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, a claim Iran denies, maintaining its nuclear program is civilian. Trump remains undecided on military intervention, stating, "Nobody knows what I'm going to do."

However, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has issued a stern warning, vowing "irreparable" harm to the U.S. if it militarily engages in the conflict. The situation remains highly volatile.
