Simultaneously, the United States recently approved a a $510 million sale of bomb guidance kits and related support to Israel. This move aims to enhance Israel's defense capabilities against current and future threats, particularly after their recent conflict with Iran.

The US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) highlighted that this sale will improve Israel's ability to protect its borders, vital infrastructure, and population centers. The US State Department has approved the sale, which now awaits final Congressional approval.

Adding to the complexities, over 150 international charities and humanitarian groups have called for the dismantling of a controversial aid distribution system in Gaza. This plea follows reports of chaos and deadly violence faced by Palestinians seeking food at these sites.
