Saudi TV channel Al-Hadath reported that the bodies of Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar and ten aides were discovered inside a tunnel in Khan Younis. The report also indicated that Rafah Brigade commander Mohammed Shabana was killed in Israeli strikes alongside Sinwar.

Approximately five days prior to this report, the IDF and Shin Bet conducted a targeted strike. The operation aimed at Hamas militants within a command and control complex situated in underground infrastructure beneath the European Hospital. Mohammed Sinwar was identified as the primary target of this strike.

Separately, Yousef Qadi, an individual involved in the October 7th attacks, surrendered in Rafah. He turned himself in along with Mohammad Zaarab, a commander within Hamas' sniper unit. The army stated that their subsequent Shin Bet interrogation yielded intelligence concerning 'significant terror infrastructure' in the area.

The Saudi Al-Hadath report suggests a significant blow to Hamas leadership in Gaza. The alleged discovery of Mohammed Sinwar's body, along with his aides and a brigade commander, indicates a potentially successful Israeli operation targeting key figures within the organization.

However, it is important to note that there has been no official confirmation from Israeli sources regarding the reported deaths of Mohammed Sinwar or Mohammed Shabana. The information currently available stems from the Saudi media outlet Al-Hadath's sources within the Gaza Strip.
