Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry voiced its concern on Wednesday regarding the rising tensions between India and Pakistan. The ministry released a statement urging both neighboring nations to de-escalate the situation. It specifically called upon India and Pakistan to pursue diplomatic avenues to resolve their existing disputes peacefully.

The Saudi appeal for calm and dialogue follows a recent escalation in tensions between the two countries. This rise in tension was triggered by a deadly attack near Pahalgam, a resort town located in India-controlled Kashmir. Tragically, the attack resulted in the loss of 26 lives, further straining the already fragile relationship between India and Pakistan.

In response to the Kashmir attack, Pakistan has stated that it possesses "credible intelligence" suggesting India is planning military action. Simultaneously, India has claimed to have identified the individuals responsible for the attack. According to India, this identification includes two Pakistani nationals among the three attackers involved in the incident.

Given these heightened tensions and conflicting claims, Saudi Arabia's intervention emphasizes the urgent need for both India and Pakistan to prioritize diplomatic solutions. The Saudi Foreign Ministry's statement underscores the importance of avoiding further escalation and engaging in peaceful negotiations to address the underlying issues that fuel their disputes.
