Saudi Arabia has firmly condemned the continuous Israeli provocations at the sacred Al-Aqsa Mosque, located in occupied East Jerusalem. The Kingdom expressed deep concern over actions that threaten peace and security in the region, particularly regarding violations at this holy Islamic site.

The condemnation follows a recent event where Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel's far-right National Security Minister, stormed the mosque area. He was accompanied by a large group of illegal Israeli settlers, marking the Jewish observance of Tisha B'Av inside the Muslim-controlled compound.

Saudi authorities described this intrusion as a direct provocation that disregards the feelings of millions of Muslims worldwide. The Saudi Foreign Ministry labeled the act as dangerous and warned it could escalate tensions between communities and nations.

According to the statement, these repeated violations by Israeli officials are unacceptable and pose a serious threat to the historical and religious status of Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Kingdom called on the international community to take immediate steps to stop such escalations.

Saudi Arabia emphasized the need for respecting Islamic sanctities and maintaining the legal and historical identity of Jerusalem. It reiterated that such actions disrupt all efforts towards achieving lasting peace in the Middle East.

The Kingdom reaffirmed its support for the Palestinian people and their rights to practice their faith freely at all Islamic holy sites. It urged global powers to intervene and uphold international laws protecting religious landmarks from illegal occupation or harm.
