The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) is set to make a significant impact in Nigeria. They've signed an agreement to drill 78 medium-depth, solar-powered wells across 10 Nigerian states.


This crucial partnership, formalized via video conference, was announced by Mohammed Al-Sahabi of the Saudi Embassy in Abuja. It underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to global humanitarian efforts.

The project is designed to benefit an impressive 733,350 people. This initiative directly supports communities by providing reliable access to clean water.

These new wells will supply safe drinking water for both humans and livestock, addressing a fundamental need in low-income areas.

Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, KSrelief's Assistant Supervisor General, signed the agreement in Riyadh, marking a formal step toward implementation.

Beyond hydration, the project aims to reduce waterborne diseases and parasitic infections, which contribute to high mortality rates, especially among infants.

Improved access to clean water is also expected to enhance nutrition by ensuring a consistent, safe water supply for cooking and hygiene.

This intervention is part of KSrelief's broader strategy of water and sanitation projects globally. Their aim is to improve living conditions and control disease spread in vulnerable regions.

Ultimately, this initiative highlights Saudi Arabia's dedication to humanitarian aid, significantly improving health and well-being for hundreds of thousands in Nigeria.
