Sources reveal Vladimir Putin won't intervene in Iran's conflict with Israel. This strategic decision aims to appease Donald Trump, preventing a harsher U.S. stance on Russia's war in Ukraine. Moscow prioritizes maintaining a less confrontational relationship with the White House.

Kremlin insiders, including current and former Russian officials and diplomats, confirm this assessment. They spoke anonymously due to the sensitivity of the situation. This cautious approach reflects a re-evaluation of Trump's foreign policy after recent U.S. airstrikes on Iran.

Despite Putin's public condemnation of the U.S. strikes during a meeting with Iran's foreign minister, a more reserved strategy is at play behind the scenes. Moscow was surprised by the U.S. willingness to act decisively, shifting their previous assumptions about Trump's "peacemaker" image.
