More than 100 humanitarian organisations have united in a strong call for Israel to stop what they describe as the "weaponisation of aid" in Gaza. The appeal comes as the besieged Palestinian enclave continues to face an extreme humanitarian crisis caused by ongoing restrictions on essential supplies.

The organisations, which include global names such as Islamic Relief, Oxfam, and Doctors Without Borders (MSF), warned that the Israeli blockade is preventing life-saving assistance from reaching millions in urgent need. They urged world governments to pressure Israel to allow the unrestricted flow of humanitarian goods.

In a joint statement released on Wednesday, the 104 signatories revealed that despite Israel's public claims of facilitating aid, most major international NGOs have been unable to deliver even a single truck of essential supplies since March 2. This has left warehouses full of needed goods stuck at border points.

According to the NGOs, Israeli authorities have repeatedly rejected requests from dozens of aid agencies, claiming that these organisations are "not authorised" to deliver assistance. This has further delayed critical items such as food, medical equipment, and water purification supplies.

The statement emphasised that aid should never be used as a political tool or bargaining chip. It called for urgent international action to protect humanitarian principles and ensure Gaza's population receives the support they desperately need.

Human rights advocates warn that continued restrictions risk worsening famine, disease, and displacement in Gaza. They insist that only immediate, unrestricted access to aid can help prevent further human suffering.
