Nigeria's Minister of Information has reaffirmed the government's commitment to resolving national and international concerns through diplomatic engagement rather than confrontation. He emphasized that discussions with the United States and other global partners are ongoing, with open channels aimed at achieving peaceful and mutually beneficial outcomes. According to him, the Nigerian government remains stable and focused, with the President and the Federal Executive Council maintaining calm and steady leadership despite challenges.

He stressed that this calmness should not be mistaken for indifference. The administration, he said, is actively confronting the country's challenges, particularly in the areas of security and national cohesion. "Yes, there are security issues. Yes, lives have been lost. But the government is responding with responsibility and balance," he asserted, underlining the seriousness with which the administration approaches national security matters.

The Minister also highlighted Nigeria's pluralistic nature, emphasizing that the nation's strength lies in its diversity. He reaffirmed that the Constitution of Nigeria guarantees freedom of religion and protects every citizen's right to worship without fear or discrimination. This, he noted, is a core value that continues to define Nigeria's democratic identity.

He assured that the federal government remains committed to ensuring law and order through the security agencies, while also improving their operational efficiency. Measures, he said, are being strengthened to prevent future conflicts and to ensure that justice and peace prevail across the country.

Furthermore, the Minister noted that the Tinubu administration is open to collaboration with international and regional partners in addressing terrorism and violent extremism. He stressed that these issues are global in nature and require a united response.

In conclusion, he reiterated that the Nigerian government will continue to act with prudence, dialogue, and partnership to promote peace, national stability, and religious harmony within and beyond its borders.
