Millions of Muslims from across the globe gathered at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah to observe the 27th night of Ramadan, engaging in Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers.
On Wednesday night, the Grand Mosque welcomed a record-breaking 4.2 million worshipers, as reported by Al-Ekhbariya.

Believers sought Laylat al-Qadr (The Night of Power), a sacred night described in the Qur'an as more valuable than a thousand months. Though its exact date remains uncertain, it is traditionally observed on the 27th night of Ramadan, with Muslims encouraged to seek it during the odd-numbered nights of the last 10 days.

To accommodate the massive crowd, authorities implemented operational measures, including preparing the Mataf area to host up to 107,000 pilgrims per hour, ensuring smooth movement within the Grand Mosque.

Facilities were enhanced with 428 escalators, 28 elevators, and an advanced sound system comprising 1,300 speakers, while cooling infrastructure provided up to 90,000 tons of air conditioning capacity.
Additionally, Makkah's Health Affairs Department increased medical support with dedicated healthcare centers within the Grand Mosque and its courtyards to assist worshipers.
