Israel has maintained a strict naval blockade on Gaza since 2007, following Hamas' takeover of the coastal territory. This blockade, aimed at limiting the flow of goods and materials into Gaza, has been widely condemned by humanitarian organizations as collective punishment against more than two million Palestinians. Despite the blockade, multiple activist groups have launched missions to deliver essential aid by sea, emphasizing the dire humanitarian situation in the enclave.
