Israel launched airstrikes on alleged Hezbollah weapons caches and tunnels in southern Lebanon on Monday. These strikes followed earlier operations targeting sites within Iran.

Israeli warplanes conducted surprise attacks on the outskirts of several villages, valleys, and hills. The raids spanned across the Jezzine and Nabatieh districts, extending towards the Sidon district.

The Israeli military stated that air force warplanes targeted Hezbollah military sites containing rocket launchers, missiles, and weapons depots north of the Litani River. They claim this presence violates understandings between Israel and Lebanon.

A Lebanese security source reported no casualties from the raids. The strikes focused on valleys and areas between various towns, indicating precise targeting.

The source noted that Israel used concussion missiles, causing powerful explosions felt across most southern regions. This suggests a warning to Hezbollah against rehabilitating destroyed sites.

Lebanese leaders, including President Joseph Aoun, are actively seeking to prevent Lebanon from being drawn further into the escalating Israeli-Iranian conflict, emphasizing neutrality and national interest.
