Israeli forces on Tuesday carried out a series of violent raids in different parts of Al-Khalil (Hebron) in the occupied West Bank, assaulting Palestinians and damaging vehicles, according to the official WAFA news agency. The operation sparked renewed fears of escalation in one of the most heavily militarized cities in the territory.

The agency reported that troops stormed the Al-Ras area, west of the town of Idhna, and raided the Wadi al-Nasara neighborhood, where they harassed residents and restricted movement. Local witnesses said soldiers broke into several homes and conducted searches that left families terrified.

In addition, Israeli forces deployed at the entrance of Al-Fawwar refugee camp, south of Al-Khalil, where they smashed the windows of several vehicles parked near the camp's main road. Eyewitnesses described the raid as "deliberately destructive," targeting civilian property without justification.

Al-Khalil, the largest city in the West Bank, has long been a flashpoint of tension due to the presence of Israeli settlements and heavy military deployment in and around the city. Residents frequently report raids, checkpoints, and restrictions on movement that disrupt daily life.

The raids come amid a surge in Israeli military operations across the West Bank in recent months, which have resulted in dozens of Palestinian deaths and widespread arrests. Human rights groups have repeatedly condemned these incursions, warning that the collective punishment of civilians violates international law.

So far, there has been no immediate response from Israeli authorities regarding Tuesday's raids. Palestinian officials, however, denounced the operations as part of a systematic campaign to intimidate residents and entrench the occupation in Al-Khalil and beyond.
