Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi is set to travel to Moscow on Monday, June 23, for crucial talks with Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin. This development, reported by NBC News' Andrea Mitchell, underscores diplomatic efforts amid escalating regional tensions.

Aragchi confirmed his intention to meet with Vladimir Putin, a move likely aimed at seeking support or mediation following recent events. The timing is critical given the recent military actions.

It's important to recall that on June 13, Israel announced Operation "Nation of Lions," involving dozens of Israeli Defense Forces aircraft striking Iranian nuclear facilities. This operation significantly escalated the conflict.

The Israeli Prime Minister confirmed these strikes targeted key nuclear sites, including the Natanz enrichment facility. He vowed the operation would continue until the perceived threat was neutralized.

This Israeli military operation against Iran's nuclear infrastructure, targeting even the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps leadership, reportedly had been secretly prepared for over eight months and could last for weeks.

Interestingly, US President Donald Trump revealed that Vladimir Putin had offered to mediate the Israel-Iran conflict. Trump's response, however, suggested Putin should focus on his own country first.
