Iran's top Shiite cleric, Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi, has issued a powerful fatwa, declaring US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as "enemies of God." This religious edict calls for global Muslim unity against the two leaders.

The fatwa accuses Trump and Netanyahu of threatening Iran's supreme leadership and waging war against Islam. Makarem's decree labels any threat to Iran's Supreme Leader or top clerics as "mohareb," meaning one who "wages war against God."

Under Iranian law, being branded a "mohareb" carries severe penalties, including execution. Makarem explicitly stated that anyone harming or threatening the Leader or a Marja "must be treated as such," justifying violent retribution under Islamic law.

The fatwa strictly forbids any cooperation or support for the US or Israel, deeming such actions "haram" (religiously forbidden). It urges Muslims worldwide to make these "enemies" "regret their words and actions," promising divine rewards for those who sacrifice in opposition.

This significant fatwa follows the recent "12-Day War," which began on June 13 with Israeli airstrikes in Iran. The conflict escalated with Iranian missile attacks on Israeli cities and US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, pushing the region to the brink.
