Indian PM Modi warned Pakistan of further strikes if India faces terrorist attacks, despite a recent ceasefire brokered by US President Trump. Pakistan denies supporting militants, claiming India targeted civilian sites. This follows escalating tensions and military actions from both sides.

The ceasefire, after days of intense fighting, involved missiles and drones, resulting in civilian casualties. India launched strikes on alleged "terrorist camps" in Pakistan, following a militant attack in Indian Kashmir. Pakistan refuted these claims and called for an impartial investigation.

Modi emphasized India's stance: "terror and talks cannot go together," listing conditions for dialogue and lifting restrictions. He highlighted India's resolve to counter terrorism, dismissing Pakistan's "nuclear blackmail." Pakistan has yet to respond to Modi's strong statements.

Military talks between India and Pakistan's operations chiefs aimed to uphold the ceasefire and reduce border troop presence. US President Trump claimed US involvement in securing the truce, citing trade as a factor. Financial markets in both countries responded positively to the news.

China expressed its willingness to facilitate lasting peace between India and Pakistan, both of which control parts of Kashmir. India accuses Pakistan of supporting insurgents since 1989, while Pakistan maintains it only offers moral and political support to Kashmiri separatists.
