This announcement was made in a statement released on Monday, June 2, 2025, by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, speaking on behalf of the government.

He congratulated all Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the arrival of Eid-ul-Adha, one of the most significant Islamic festivals.
