The Federal Government has designated Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, 2025, as public holidays in celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
In an official statement released on Wednesday by the Ministry of Interior's Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani, Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo conveyed the announcement.

Tunji-Ojo extended congratulations to Muslims nationwide for completing the Ramadan fast and urged them to uphold values such as discipline, generosity, compassion, and peace.

He emphasized the need for love, unity, and forgiveness in building a peaceful society and encouraged Nigerians to mark the occasion with safety and responsibility.

The statement further highlighted the importance of supporting the less privileged through acts of kindness, reflecting the essence of Ramadan and Eid.

On behalf of the Federal Government, the minister wished all Muslims a joyous Eid Mubarak, expressing hopes for prosperity, happiness, and fulfillment for all.
