A tragic explosion shook a Sokoto village during the Eid holiday. The police confirmed the incident but gave limited information.

Eyewitness Hashimu said it happened in the afternoon during festive visits. All the victims have been buried following Islamic rites, a local aide said.

People blame the Lakurawa group, known for terrorizing the area for years. Villagers are pleading for urgent help from the government to restore peace.
