Arab nations have intensified their calls for the immediate end to Israel's ongoing military campaign in Gaza, describing it as a "genocidal war" that has dragged into its second year. The appeal was made during an open session of the UN Security Council, where the humanitarian crisis was strongly condemned.

Speaking on behalf of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Kuwait's Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, warned that Gaza is witnessing one of the darkest tragedies in modern history. He highlighted the devastating destruction, the suffocating blockade, and the deaths of more than 64,000 civilians, most of them women and children.

Sheikh Sabah described the war as "a living example of genocide and ethnic cleansing," stressing that it represents a gaping wound that the world cannot ignore. He urged the Security Council to take decisive action—ending the aggression, guaranteeing humanitarian access, and backing its words with meaningful measures to protect civilians.

Egypt also voiced its alarm through its permanent UN representative, Osama Abdelkhalek. He stated that Cairo has consistently resisted escalation despite repeated Israeli provocations, but warned that the situation has reached a breaking point. Abdelkhalek called for an immediate ceasefire to prevent further deterioration of the crisis.

Criticizing Israel's "stubborn insistence" on continuing the war, Abdelkhalek said the humanitarian disaster unfolding in Gaza cannot be tolerated. He emphasized that silence in the face of such devastation is unacceptable and urged world powers to act swiftly.

Palestine's UN Ambassador Riyad Mansour delivered one of the most passionate appeals of the session. He declared that Palestinians "are not subhuman" and are entitled to life, freedom, and dignity. Mansour underscored that no justification can ever excuse the atrocities inflicted upon the people of Gaza.

He concluded with a plea: "No genocide, no theft, no forced displacement, no colonisation, no annexation, no occupation — save Gaza, save Palestine, save peace."
