Veteran broadcaster Akamara retracted allegations about using ihram for rituals. He stated that all phone conversations aired on his controversial radio program were staged.

This retraction came during an urgent meeting called by Sheikh Iskeel Lawal Sugar on Saturday, April 26th. The meeting addressed the uproar within the Nigerian Muslim community sparked by Akamara's claims.

Inside his office, a gathering occurred, bringing together Yewa Land and Owode Idiroko stakeholders, alongside members of the press and legal professionals.

The Ogun League of Imams and Alfas' representative, Chief Imam of Owode Yewa, and Sheikh Ishaq Olorungbebe were present, among others.
