The Association of Model Islamic Schools (AMIS), Oluyole chapter, has trained over 500 educators in Ibadan through a workshop designed to prepare them for the 2025/2026 academic session. The free event, held at Sablak Event Center in Sanyo-Soka, was sponsored by Imam IbnulQayyim Islamic Foundation and L.O Foundation.

Themed "Academic Excellence: Teachers as Architects of Growth and Development in Schools", the gathering emphasized the critical role of teachers in shaping the future of learners and improving the quality of Muslim-owned schools in Nigeria.

One of the guest speakers, Coach Sanusi Yusuff Abiodun, Director/CEO of Crescent Counselling and Educational Consult Limited, likened teachers to architects. He explained that every lesson is a brick, every encouragement is cement, and every learner represents a structure rising toward greatness. He urged teachers to embody the roles of mentor, role model, disciplinarian, counsellor, and nation builder.

Another speaker, Ustadh Rasheed Haashim, Director of Muflihun Schools and IbnulQayyim Islamic Foundation, delivered a presentation on "Effective Curriculum Delivery for 21st Century Teachers". He highlighted the importance of modern curriculum components and the responsibility of teachers to adapt to evolving educational needs.

Participants also engaged in brainstorming sessions that covered critical topics such as security in schools, Muslim parental choices of Christian-owned schools, strategies to excel in examinations, and the integration of technology into teaching and learning.

Certificates of participation were awarded to attendees. Alhaji Nurudeen Yekeen, chairman of the organising committee, expressed appreciation to sponsors, facilitators, and participants, reaffirming AMIS's commitment to advancing the standard of Islamic education in Oyo State and beyond.
