A significant educational landmark, the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Centre for Islamic Studies, was officially opened on Saturday in Kaduna State's Danbushiya community Nigeria.

This newly established facility, known as DARUL ILM, represents a notable contribution to education, particularly for orphaned children, and was spearheaded by the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Oluwatosin Adeola Ajayi, with crucial backing from his network of friends and associates.

The commissioning ceremony drew a host of dignitaries, underscoring the project's importance. Among those present were Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar, and Minister of Finance, Wale Edun.

Sultan Abubakar, in his remarks, highlighted Nigeria's immense human and natural potential, expressing optimism for the nation's future despite current economic hurdles. He particularly commended the initiative, noting that the school was built for orphans by a non-Muslim using personal funds, describing it as "a very big statement" of interfaith harmony and commitment to societal welfare.

Echoing the Sultan's hopeful outlook, Minister Edun shared positive updates on the government's economic reforms. He pointed to encouraging signs such as economic growth, rising foreign reserves, and a stabilization in inflation, alongside decreasing prices for essential goods like food, petroleum, and energy. Edun conveyed strong confidence that these policies are on course to deliver economic stability and generate employment across various sectors.

Mr. Ajayi, represented by retired DSS Director Alhaji Ahmed Zarma, explained that the center aligns with his broader vision of fostering public trust in government and enhancing national security. This is to be achieved through citizen engagement, interfaith dialogue, and robust policy discussions.

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, whose deputy, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, represented him, lauded the DSS Director-General's foresight. Dr. Balarabe emphasized that the school embodies hope and a profound commitment to education and humanity.

The naming of the center after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was a fitting capstone to the event, solidifying its place as a testament to collaborative efforts in advancing education and community development.
