The World Health Organization (WHO) has sent medical supplies to Gaza, where healthcare needs are growing rapidly due to ongoing conflict. According to WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, 24 trucks loaded with essential health supplies entered Gaza since Friday.

These trucks are filled with life-saving medicines, surgical tools, trauma care items, and treatments for long-term diseases. They also contain lab materials and water testing kits to support urgent public health needs in the region.

Dr. Tedros explained that these supplies are meant to support both hospitals and medical partners working inside Gaza. Many health centers in Gaza are damaged, overcrowded, or lacking enough resources to treat the increasing number of patients.

"This is just a start," said Tedros in a post on X (formerly Twitter). He added that more support is needed to fully meet the urgent healthcare demands in Gaza. The WHO is calling for safe and sustained access for aid workers and medical deliveries.

The situation in Gaza remains tense, and medical services are struggling to cope. Shortages in electricity, clean water, and medicine have worsened conditions for thousands of people, including children, the elderly, and the wounded.

Health organizations around the world continue to urge the international community to act quickly. Without ongoing support and protection for medical missions, the health crisis in Gaza may grow even worse in the coming weeks.
