During the 2025 Hajj, the Mashaer Metro Train carried 1.87 million people between Makkah's key holy sites. The train ran from June 3 to June 9, helping pilgrims move smoothly between Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah.

According to Saudi Arabia Railways, the train completed 2,154 trips during these six days. This helped reduce crowd pressure and made travel easier and safer for all the pilgrims.

The Hajj metro service followed a well-organized plan made up of five stages. The first stage moved over 27,000 passengers between June 3 and 4 across various stations.

Next, 282,000 pilgrims traveled from Mina to Arafat, then 294,000 from Arafat to Muzdalifah in the third phase. The fourth stage saw 349,000 moved from Muzdalifah to Mina.

In the final phase, over 920,000 passengers used the Mina 3 (Jamarat) station by the last day of Tashreeq. This marked the busiest and most critical period.

Saudi Railways CEO Bashar AlMalik said this success was due to careful planning, test runs, and teamwork with security and operational teams.
