Sultan Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar III has urged Nigerians to consistently pray for their leaders, even in challenging circumstances.

The Sultan appealed at the University of Ilorin during a public lecture and book presentations in honor of Professor Is'haq Oloyede.

Is-haq Oloyede, JAMB Registrar, retired at 70 from the University of Ilorin. His books include "Islamics, Scholarship and Service to Society" and "Glimpses into the Giant".

Sultan advises Nigerians to stop cursing their leaders and instead pray for them, regardless of their situation, and not condemn them, even if they are bad.

Prince Lateef Fagbemi, the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, urged Nigerians to support their leaders' optimal performance and avoid constant criticism, highlighting the country's external image.

The speaker acknowledges that some individuals may feel obligated to help others, but acknowledges that this is a common issue in developed countries.

To minimize the situation, it is crucial to implement policies, behaviors, and activities that discourage inhibiting development and respect for the community.
